Molla has 35 years’ experience with survey methods, structured interviewing, constructing guides for and summarizing focus groups. She was Senior Staff Officer for the Institute of Medicine reports Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century and To Err is Human: Building A Safer Health Care System.
Awards include the 2006 John M Romani award for contributions to public health, University of Michigan School of Public Health; Palliative Care Working Group, 2005 NIH Director’s Award; 2000 American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award for To Err is Human…; 2000 National Research Council Group Recognition Award; 2000 Foundation for Accountability Ellwood Award; 1004-2000 Pew Doctoral Fellowship in Health Policy; 1966–1969 NIH Traineeship (Graduate Training, Developmental Biology and Genetics); and 1966 NSF Traineeship for Environmental Biology.
